The Boughton & Eastwell Cricket Club, formed in 1798 with strong historical roots, is dedicated to fostering a sustainable and inclusive cricketing environment for all ages. As a charitable organisation, its mission is to ensure the long-term vitality of cricket in the community, emphasising values such as teamwork, fitness, fun, and inclusivity.
Teams
The club boasts a vibrant cricketing community, comprising:
Two Adult Teams - Offering competitive and friendly matches for various skill levels.
Four Colt Teams - Catering to youth aged 6 to 16, nurturing the next generation of cricket enthusiasts.
Qualified Coaching
The coaching staff includes ECB-qualified coaches committed to providing high-quality training and support. Their goal is to help all players develop their skills and enjoy the game.
Youth Development
The club’s youth program serves over 70 colts, focusing on:
Teamwork - Teaching the importance of playing and working as a team.
Outdoor Fun - Encouraging enjoyment and active play in the fresh air.
Fitness - Promoting a healthy, active lifestyle.
Inclusivity - Welcoming children from all backgrounds to foster an environment of acceptance and diversity.
Encouraging Adult Participation
The club aims to make cricket accessible and enjoyable for everyone by promoting participation among both male and female adults, providing equal opportunities for all genders. Additionally, it ensures that individuals of all ages can find a place in the club, accommodating not just children and teenagers but also seniors aged 16 to 70+.
